Our Journey In Artificial Intelligence
By Diptimayee Mohanty

From Suvaance in 2012 to Suvaance AI in 2025, it’s a long journey. This period was not a bed of roses for us. It was just like going from nowhere to reaching the target. We started our journey in 2012 with Suvaance, entirely focused on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Digital Marketing for clients. Then, in the next 2 years, we began creating website design & development, mainly for in-house use, for only a few clients & charity work. We have never tried to commercialize in web development.

From the beginning, we had focused on empowering employees with knowledge growth through in-house training rather than hiring experienced employees. And our strategy always helped us in competing in the market with so many changes regularly. We have always prioritized quality over quantity, so we had to stay up-to-date on the latest Google algorithms & digital marketing strategy. And for it, we had even to study Google’s latest patents on search. It also helped us start our journey in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and build our knowledge base on AI.

From SEO Roots to AI Innovation

Google started using Machine Learning & AI in its Google Brain Algorithm in 2015. As we were in the SEO industry, we started gathering knowledge regarding how Google uses machine learning, deep learning, AI, etc., on its search algorithm through Google’s patents.

While watching Mike King‘s video of the Mozcon conference in 2019, I came across OpenAI’s GPT-1 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) or GPT-2, although I couldn’t recall it, and thereafter I got a chance to use it. It was an exciting moment for us as GPT was generating text surprisingly. And thereafter had the opportunity to use GPT-3 in 2021 or later. At that time, it was not available, just like you are using ChatGPT now. It was available in OpenAI’s Playground app.

Our journey in AI started from there. Started reading about how machine learning works, the basics of Deep Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and various things related to AI and how we could use it in digital marketing.

At that time, there were not many Large Language Models (LLMs) available, only GPT-3 and AI21 were available, and even Google Gemini was not there. But after the release of ChatGPT in 2022, many things in AI changed very quickly. AI came into the hands of the public through various apps like ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. Now people started using it for text, image, audio and video generation with Generative AI.

With the availability of APIs from OpenAI, Google’s Gemini, etc., it was time for developers to create new applications by integrating AI and even integrating AI in their existing applications. Also, developing complete applications using AI is possible now with Vibe coding.

Over the past year, we have started creating applications related to the SEO industry for in-house use only and integrating AI features into them. It’s helping our in-house team to work efficiently and increase productivity. And for this, we have not hired any developer; instead, we preferred to train our existing employees in-house and started building custom solutions for clients and our regular in-house work for clients. It includes multimodal content generation, data analysis, and automations. It’s helping us to work efficiently and increase productivity.

Our team has developed a multimodal prompt generation tool, which is helping our multimedia team to create images and videos efficiently using AI. Those who are creating multimedia content using AI must be aware of the importance of prompt and the difficulty in making the right prompts. So our team came up with a solution for it with a custom-built tool using AI.

Similarly, our AI team has developed a multimodal hub application for content developers. It’s helping them to create high-quality, in-depth content in less time using multiple AI models.

Our journey in AI is now more focused towards latest technology in AI like RAG, MCP and Agentic AI. Till now we have been developing AI applications for in-house use only but in future we will come come up with better AI solutions for public and clients.
